International Research Awards On Computer Aided Design In Mechanical Engineering
Electric bus rapid transit (EBRT) is an effective solution for traffic congestion and environmental pollution, but it has some shortcomings such as short life span of batteries and low energy utilization rate. For that, a new energy storage scheme (EMS) for EBRT is proposed based on the operating characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) cells, Li-ion batteries and supercapacitors. For improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency, the control scheme for PV cells is proposed based on the perturb and observe method and grey wolf optimization algorithm.
